- Эти устройства представляют собой флип-флопы с положительным фронтовым триггером. Разница между HD74HC374 и HD74HC534 заключается лишь в том, что первый обеспечивает истинные выходы, тогда как второй предоставляет ложные выходы. Данные, поступающие на входы D и соответствующие требованиям к времени установления и хранения, передаются на выходы Q при положительных переходах на входе тактового сигнала (CK). Когда на вход управления выходами (OC) подаётся высокий логический уровень, все выходы переходят в состояние высокого импеданса, независимо от того, какие сигналы присутствуют на других входах и состоянии элементов запоминания.

- Высокая скорость работы: tpd (от тактового сигнала до выхода Q) = 18 нс тип (CL = 50 пФ)
- Высокий ток выхода: фануто 15 нагрузок LSTTL
- Широкий диапазон рабочего напряжения: VCC = 2–6 В
- Низкий ток входа: максимум 1 µA
- Низкий ток покоя: ICC (статический) = 4 µA максимум (Ta = 25 °C)
