Description
- The NCP177AMX330TCG from On Semiconductor is a fast transient response, 500mA CMOS low dropout linear voltage regulator with enable function in 4 pin XDFN package. It provides up to 0.5A of load current and maintains excellent output voltage accuracy of 0.8% at 25°C. The operating input voltage range from 1.6V up to 5.5V makes this device suitable for Li-ion battery powered products as well as post regulation applications. This device delivers excellent noise and dynamic performance. Due to its adaptive ground current behaviour the device consumes only 60µA of quiescent current (no load condition). The regulator features very good line/load transient performance. Such excellent dynamic parameters, small dropout voltage and small package size make the device an ideal choice for powering the precision noise sensitive circuitry. It is also used in battery powered equipments, portable communication equipment, cameras, image sensors and camcorders.
- Fixed output voltage of 3.3V, low dropout of 110mV at IOUT = 500mA
- Design flexibility, extended battery life, limits in-rush current and high output voltage precision
- Output discharge function, 60 ohm output discharge resistance at VIN = 4V, VEN = 0V, VOUT = VOUT-NOM
- Standby current of 0.1A at VEN = 0V and load regulation of 1mV at 1mA <= IOUT <= 500mA
- ±0.8% high output voltage accuracy, 54µVRMS low noise at f = 10Hz to 100KHz and 75dB PSRR at 1KHz
- Stable with small 1µF ceramic capacitors
- Overcurrent protection, 175°C thermal shutdown protection
- Logic EN input provides ON/OFF control of the output voltage
- Line regulation of 0.02%/V (VIN = VOUT-NOM + 0.5V to 5.25V, VIN >= 1.6V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
